Just like the four Ballantine Books "Find Your Fate" titles on the previous page, the lesser known book "James Bond Jr: As Good As Gold" displayed here was also aimed at younger readers. Published by Mammoth in the UK in 1993 it shares the same interactive style as the "Find Your Fate" books, where readers decide how they progress through the adventure and the ultimate outcome. This book was based on the "James Bond Jr" cartoon series that appeared on TV screens in the 1990's. This standalone title was written by Dave Morris, author of many other "gamebooks, novels and comics as well as designer of computer games and role-playing games" (source Wikipedia). A wide range of merchandise accompanied the "James Bond Jr" cartoon series including action figures, toys, colouring books, clothing lines and a book series published in both the UK and US with differing covers which appear on two pages on this website, as well as the Buzz Books hardbacks displayed on the next page.
